Understanding Home Water Filtration
Whole-home filtration connects directly to your main water line—typically in a garage, utility room, or basement—so every tap in the house draws from the same multi-stage media bed.
Before and after every PURWTR installation, a licensed local plumber records manual water test readings in the installer app alongside a timestamped photo of a clear water sample in a glass.
- Point-of-entry (whole-home) filtration treats water at the main line before it reaches any tap, shower, or appliance.
- Point-of-use (under-sink or pitcher) filters treat only a single drinking tap.
- On-site testing uses the Apera PC60 meter across 5 baseline parameters: pH, conductivity, TDS, salinity, and temperature.
- Standard installer test kits pair a baseline TDS-3 meter with Varify 17-in-1 strips (reagent field kit optional).
Choosing a Water System for Your Home
Selecting the right whole-home system depends on your home plumbing layout, household water usage, and whether you want multi-stage carbon filtration alone or paired with a salt-free conditioner.
Every PURWTR tier includes professional installation by an independent, licensed, and insured local plumber verified during onboarding.
- Base Tier ($3,000): iSpring WGB32B whole-home filtration system, installed by a licensed local plumber.
- Mid Tier ($4,500): Aquasana Rhino whole-home filtration system (proposed mapping — TBD).
- Premium Tier ($6,000): SpringWell CF whole-home filtration system + salt-free conditioner (proposed mapping — TBD).
- Refer-a-Neighbor program: $100 credit to the referring homeowner and $100 off for the friend toward a system.
Note: Mid and Premium hardware mappings are proposed — final confirmation TBD.
When Should You Replace a Filter?
Sediment pre-filters and carbon media beds gradually load over time depending on household water volume and local municipal or well supply conditions.
PURWTR simplifies upkeep with a 6-month reorder reminder so you can order replacement filters in one click and optionally dispatch a licensed local plumber to perform the swap.
- 6-month filter reorder cycle: automated reminder email every 6 months with one-click filter reorder.
- Optional licensed plumber dispatch available when reordering replacement cartridges.
- Filter subscription pricing: TBD (placeholder until recurring cartridge rates are finalized).
- Post-install labor warranty window (60–90 days, exact terms TBD) for reporting any installation issues.
Note: Filter subscription pricing and warranty window terms — TBD.
What a Licensed PURWTR Install Looks Like
Every PURWTR installation follows a gated milestone chain designed to protect homeowners and document work quality at every stage.
Your installer verifies unit condition upon arrival, photographs each stage of the plumbing tie-in, logs before-and-after water parameters, and completes final sign-off right on site.
- Step 1 — Delivery confirmation photo and homeowner verification before scheduling.
- Step 2 — Digital agreement signature and plumber arrival packaging inspection photos.
- Step 3 — Pre-install checklist confirmation, timed installation, and step-by-step progress photos.
- Step 4 — Clear glass water sample photo, manual before/after water test entry, and homeowner digital sign-off.
