Installation & Service Terms
What to expect before, during and after your installation.
Last updated: November 3, 2026
1. Independent licensed installers
Installations are performed by independent contractors who hold the plumbing license required where they work and carry liability insurance. They are not PURWTR employees.
2. Site assessment and scope
Standard installation connects the system at your main water line in a suitable, accessible location with nearby drain and power where required. If the installer finds conditions outside standard scope, such as code upgrades, corroded pipes or an inaccessible main, we will explain the extra work and price and get your approval before doing it. You may decline and cancel for a refund of unperformed work.
3. Permits and codes
Work is performed to applicable plumbing codes. Where a permit is required, the installer or PURWTR will obtain it. [TBD: who pulls permits in each jurisdiction.]
4. Your responsibilities
Provide safe access at the scheduled time, an adult 18 or older on site, and accurate information about your home. Tell us about pets, hazards or known plumbing issues.
5. Scheduling
We will confirm your appointment window. Please give at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule. [TBD: any missed-appointment fee, which must be disclosed before purchase.]
6. Documentation
The installer records timestamped photos, before-and-after water readings, and your electronic sign-off at completion. These records support your warranty and help resolve disputes.
7. Water service interruption
Your water will be shut off during installation, typically for several hours.
